Julie writes: "I was born and raised in a Hutterite Colony in South Dakota where I learned to appreciate handcrafting of any kind. I wanted something out-of-the-ordinary, so I took up painting. At first I used any paint I could get a hold of, starting with oils. Recently I have changed to acrylic paints.
I love the scenery of South Dakota; the old and new farm scenes with pheasants are my favorites. I have also done a number of paintings of area lakes including Lake Thompson, which was done with waterfowl. I will do custom work and design a piece according to your specifications. My studio is located in my home in Iroquois, and visitors are always welcome.
My goal is to become a well-known South Dakota artist and touch peoples lives through my work. I thank God I am able to do this with help from the Master Artist."
