"I am an artist and work in oil and watercolors. I was born and raised on a ranch 18 miles north of Wall, SD. I lived most of my married life on the old Thode Ranch, three miles south of Belvidere, SD. Our five kids grew up there. I trained, showed horses and worked on the ranch. Later in life I moved back to Wall and while there I attended a few art classes in Rapid City with my good friend, Ester Pier. That was in 1989 and I have been painting since! Painting is a good past time for me after leaving the ranch, as it was a big adjustment for me moving from the ranch to town. I still miss the country life as you can see by my paintings. I like to paint animals (especially horses), people, landscapes and florals. They can take the girl out of the country, but not the country out of the girl! My husband George and I live in Quinn now, he is a part time mail carrier and I work summers at the Sunshine Motel in Wall, SD. I still have a couple of horses around." Lorna Moore-2011
