"Nothing in my history accounts for my creative bent now, except that I began to feel an urge to create. I took a painting lesson, and that wasn't what I was looking for. I asked for a calligraphy set for Christmas 2009, and that wasn't it either. That same year, my husband gave me a glitzy leather bracelet, and that turned out to be it. I started out experimenting with various mediums, and now spend nearly all my spare time designing and creating jewelry. All of the pieces I make are one-of-a-kind. "BLACK LIP MUSSEL SHELL" This unusal necklace is designed to be reversible. The front of the shell is a silvery concave with hints of pink accented by an ornate hanging pendant of sliver plate. A single pink bead mirrors the shell's mother-of-pearl lusture. When reversed, the pendant displays the smooth black lip mussel shell. Enhanced by the black cord with silver crimp bead covers, the necklace features a magnetic clasp. The necklace is 18" in length plus the 2 1/2 inch black lip pendant. Only one available.

"THE BIRD'S NEST"
This fun piece is fashioned from pure copper wire and chain, including the handmade clasp. Some of the beads have a decorative wrap, and they and the robin-egg blue 'eggs' nestled in the handmade bird's nest are magnesite turquoise. The matching earrings are copper with the same turquoise beads. The necklace is approximately 21 1/2 inches long.

"GOLD STONE BRACELET AND EARRINGS"
This bangle bracelet is 7 1/2 inches and made using 8mm gold stone beads. The copper "tornado beads" are handmade and the smaller bangle gold stone beads are wrapped on speical spacer beads. "THE FIRE AGATE"
This 20 inch solid copper wire necklace is decorated on one side by specially wrapped red jasper and copper beads and ended with a lustrous fire agate pendant. Unusual bead caps and copper wire wrap decorate the fire agate pendant. The earring wires are handcrafted and feature red jasper, poppy jasper and solid copper beads. As with most of Nyla's jewelry, no jump rings are used to give the wearer assurance that the jewelry is secure. Handmade, only one available.
