"POND'S EDGE"
In the late 1800 and early 1900's our pioneering ancestors used cedar posts for fencing the wild west. This hand carved duck on a green stained glass pond is created from an old discarded fence post from the past. The pond-side accent rock is Black Hills petrified wood that agatized over the last 3 million years and, grouped with copper leaves, wood cattails and naturally dried fauna, completes the scene. 13" X 10" bass wood base.
One-of-a-kind and unique, this carving stands 6 inches high.

"Tranquil Day's End"
This side table, trimmed with hemp rope, captures the mood of a cowboy looking over his land as the sun sets. One can feel the tranquil moods of day's end. The silhouette reverse painting on the glass top is enhanced by the background of an encaustic sunset painting (Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid/paste is then applied to a surface; €”usually prepared wood.) The 21 inch table top, with the hemp rope framing, may be used as wall hanging, but art is shipped with three 21.5 inch rope trimmed legs and wall mounting hanger.
